Alex joined the London Office in 2002 and helped establish Permira’s first Asia presence with the opening of the Tokyo Office in 2005. He was Head of the Tokyo Office from March 2008 until December 2010. In January 2011, Alex was appointed co-Head Asia, together with Henry Chen. He has worked on numerous transactions including Arysta Lifescience, Cortefiel, DinoSol Supermercados, Galaxy Entertainment Group, Holmes Place and New Look. Prior to joining Permira, Alex spent five years at McKinsey & Company in London. He was previously a Business Analyst for Braxton Associates and began his career at the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Alex has degrees in Political Science from Yale University, USA, and in European Politics from the College of Europe, Belgium. He also has an MBA from Kellogg Business School, Northwestern University, USA.
